Did you know that if an event task ever calls for you to find objects through harvesting fields, your best bet to get the task done quickly is to use special seeds? The special seeds that correspond to the specific event usually “pay” best, for example in the Far East event, rice would give you the best payout. However, any special seed (roses, violets, sunflowers, rapeseed, etc…) will give you a good chance of seeing the objects you’re collecting pop up.

What Are Projects?

Projects are what co-ops do to get points and move up in the ranks. They’re just side events where we all work to collect the same products, and what we harvest gets counted towards a common goal. The products stay in your inventory, and the amount you harvest just adds onto our total.

Here’s what the project tab in the co-op window looks like:

To begin projects, we need to donate collection items.  Collection items will pop up around your main farm when you harvest and produce.  You can also get collection items from your cooperative tree.  Collection items have no other purpose, so if you ever have enough to donate you might as well use them 🙂

In the picture above, all the projects have green checks, meaning all collection items have been collected. If a project is missing a green check, that means it’s your chance to donate items.  To donate, click the project without the check, and then on the empty box icon:

Then you’ll be shown which items are needed, and which are filled. If you have enough to donate, you can click the green button and the items will be taken from your inventory.  You can see you’re also able to supply items with gold, but using items would be best.

Now the project is ready to start! The co-op leader and the deputies are all able to start projects. If there is a project running, you can see its progress in the bottom right side of your screen. There is also  tab here for your mission progress.

The Cooperative Tree

You can find the co-op tree at the right side of your farm, between the mine and your garage.  Watering the trees on your co-op members farms, as well as your own, is a great help for the co-op.  Since our co-op is as large as it is, we each need 11 members to water our tree before we can “harvest” it, so every click counts.  It only takes a minute of your game time, but watering the co-op trees will give you 200 farm dollars per click and (more importantly) will give your fellow members bonus collection items we need to begin projects.  To water an other member’s tree, simply visit their farm and click their tree.  You’re even given a pop-op menu at the bottom of your screen to show which members’ trees need to be watered, which makes navigating to each farm much easier.  Please be sure to water the trees 🙂

Running Costs

Running costs are the farm dollars you have to spend to keep your farm running. Keeping your happiness meter in the green will keep these costs down, and your profits up. To ensure you’re making the most of your farms, try to balance your production facilities with enough decorations to keep your meter well in the green. If you’re still building your farms, a reasonable goal could be to keep running costs around -70%.  Once your farm is big enough, it’s not too hard to get it to -90%. If you use gold, you can get even better results I’m sure 🙂
